I knew that having a child born near my birthday would turn out that way. And really, it's ok. There was so much going on that week anyway, that I'm glad we decided to push our plans for my birthday back a couple of weeks. I can't imagine trying to coordinate two birthday parties in one week. No thanks.
For Ryan's birthday, we invited some family and friends over to celebrate with us on a Saturday afternoon. We had burgers, hot dogs, presents, and plenty of cake. We loved being able to celebrate with everyone, and Ryan loved getting lots of new toys! (Mommy loved that, too, as he was in pretty serious need of some "big boy" toys)
I handed the camera to my sister, Juleena, so photo credit goes to her on most of these shots.
First, the birthday boy. Ain't he cute??
A precious moment--Levi reading to Remington
Remington putting her charm to use on Margaret

Let the presents begin!
Very curious--what's going on here?
We actually got 2 of these shirts. Apparently people think our children will be dorky... wonder why that would be. =)
That's how I play with this toy, right??
Michelle said Justus had a very hard time understanding why only Ryan got to open the presents.
Here's Justus trying to help out. =)
A shadow box Raine made
Noah's Ark from Jonathan's parents
Almost done--Yum!
