Overdue

I know, my last update was about my sister's visit in July. It's now reaching the end of October. I've legitimately failed at keeping the blog up to date. Maybe one day I'll learn.


So since my last update, a few important events have taken place at the Menger house.
-We announced that we're pregnant with our 2nd little one, due April 4th =)
-Denise turned 26
-Ryan turned 1
-Grandy came to visit and convinced us to take out the cabinets above our bar
-Jon bought a new car, a '98 Subaru Forrester--he needed something with more than 2 seats for this soon-to-be family of four.

We have a large number of pictures from Ryan's first birthday, so I'll probably create a separate post just for those, but for now, I'll share some of the super cute candid moments we've caught with Ryan in the last couple months.

I'll start with the most recent, and work my way back. Here's Ryan asleep in his high chair. Apparently he was more sleepy than hungry.

Here we are, reading the newspaper like Daddy.

I'm going include all 3 of these 'cause I think they're super adorable. I made chocolate pudding and gave Ryan one of the beaters when I was finished.

It was time for Ryan to graduate to a bigger car seat, and here he is exploring it and trying it out while Daddy read the directions.

A super-cute moment--we caught Ryan listening intently as Remington read her favorite book.

 He likes to put things up to his mouth and talk into them so he can hear the echo.
